1) Conductivity

The propagation of microwaves can avoid the electric shock of the box, and the safety is higher.

2) Appearance

Due to the relatively complex processing of metal, the appearance surface is relatively simple. If you want to make some beautiful shapes, the cost will be greatly increased.

SMC is simple to form. It is formed by a metal mold under high temperature and high pressure, so the shape can be unique. The surface of the box is designed with diamond-shaped protrusions, and the SMC can be colored arbitrarily. Various colors can be customized according to customer needs.

3) Weight

The specific gravity of metal is generally 6-8g/cm3 and the specific gravity of SMC material is generally not more than 2 g/cm3. The lower weight is more conducive to transportation, making installation simpler and more convenient, and greatly saving transportation and installation costs.

4) Corrosion resistance

The metal box is not resistant to acid and alkali corrosion, and is easy to rust and damage: if it is treated with anti-rust paint, first of all, it will have a certain impact on the environment during the painting process, and new anti-rust paint must be taken every 2 years. The rust-proof effect can only be achieved by treatment, which greatly increases the cost of post-maintenance, and it is also difficult to operate.

SMC products have good corrosion resistance and can effectively resist the corrosion of water, gasoline, alcohol, electrolytic salt, acetic acid, hydrochloric acid, sodium-potassium compounds, urine, asphalt, various acid and soil, and acid rain. The product itself does not have good anti-aging performance. The surface of the product has a protective layer with strong UV resistance. The double protection makes the product have higher anti-aging performance: suitable for all kinds of bad weather, in the environment of -50C—+150 degrees Celsius , It can still maintain good physical and mechanical properties, and the protection level is IP54. The product has a long service life and is maintenance-free.

SMC compared to other thermoplastics:

1) Aging resistance

Thermoplastics have low aging resistance. When used outdoors for a long time, the towel will be exposed to light and rain, and the surface will easily change color and turn black, crack and become brittle, thus affecting the strength and appearance of the product.

SMC is a thermosetting plastic, which is insoluble and insoluble after curing, and has good corrosion resistance. It can maintain high strength and good appearance after long-term outdoor use.

2) Creep

Thermoplastics all have creep properties. Under the action of long-term external force or self-examination force, a certain amount of deformation will occur, and the finished product cannot be used for a long time. After 3-5 years, it must be replaced as a whole, resulting in a lot of waste.

SMC is a thermosetting material, which has no creep, and can maintain its original state without deformation after long-term use. General SMC products can be used for at least ten years.

3) Rigidity

Thermoplastic materials have high toughness but insufficient rigidity, and are only suitable for small, non-load-bearing products, not for taller, larger and wider products.
